Need Help?

We’re Here for You

Life can bring unexpected challenges, and we want you to know—you’re not alone.

City Light Church is committed to caring for individuals and families in our church and community who are experiencing hardship.

Our Benevolence Team is here to pray with you, support you, and help guide you toward stability.

How We Can Help

Assistance is intended for short-term emergencies. Benevolence funds are not designed to provide ongoing or long-term financial support.

We partner with the individual — we do not replace their responsibility

City Light Church may partner with individuals to help stabilize housing, but the church does not assume full responsibility for monthly rent or ongoing financial obligations.

Payments go directly to vendors

The church does not issue cash or give funds directly to individuals. All payments are sent directly to landlords, utility companies, or vendors.

Honesty Requirement

Providing false information, using multiple names or accounts, or misrepresenting a situation will result in an automatic denial and may restrict future assistance.

Rent Assistance – Partial Support Only
City Light Church may provide partial rent assistance when a household is experiencing a verified, short-term financial crisis. The church may contribute a portion of rent as part of a shared solution, but will not take on full rental responsibility.

Rent assistance must meet these conditions:

  • Documentation must show the exact amount due

  • The individual must provide proof of their portion

  • Payment is made directly to the landlord

  • Assistance is intended for one-time crisis situations only

  • Long-term support or ongoing rent subsidy is not available

Food Assistance – Emergency Support Only

City Light Church provides food assistance only for verified, short-term, emergency needs.
The intent is to supply basic groceries for a brief period, not to supplement ongoing household food costs.

Food assistance is offered in the following ways:

  • Grocery store gift cards (restricted-use when available)

  • Direct purchase of essential food items

  • Pre-packed food boxes if available through church or partners

Assistance is once per crisis, not ongoing.

  • Weddings or event expenses

  • School tuition or education-related costs

  • Car purchases, registration, or insurance
