Jesus is building His church. We will use our gifts, raise our families and find community in the House of God (Ps 92:13)

3. FAITH | OUR LIFESTYLE

Leaning into all God has for us, honoring His Word, believing for more (2 Cor 5:7)

4. GENEROSITY |  OUR JOY

God is good and has an amazing life for every one of us. This life does not happen by taking, it happens by generously giving. (Prov 11:24)

 

5. HONOR | OUR IDENTITY

We highly value the people God has brought into our lives. We never tear people down but lift them up by serving one another with a grateful heart (Mark 10:44)

6. INTEGRITY | OUR COMMITMENT

Our best life is a life lived in obedience to God’s word. We give no place to religious ritual but live with a heart after God (Ps 19:14)

7. GOD’S PRESENCE | OUR PASSION

The Holy Spirit is present and moving in our lives. The presence of God distinguishes us, comforts us and empowers us (2 Corinthians 3:18)

We love Las Vegas. For most people it’s a weekend getaway, for others a place to lose all inhibition and sadly for some a place of broken dreams and disappointment. But to us, we see a light in the desert.

We always felt that one day we would plant a church but never had a specific city in mind. After five years of traveling and serving at our home church Free Chapel, Pastor Jentezen Franklin confirmed it was time to start the church that God placed inside our hearts years ago.

Jabin and Shanen moved from Newport Beach, California in June 2017 to plant a life giving church in the heart of the city. They are so grateful for all that God has done, but are filled with even greater vision to reach the city, nation and beyond. City Light is all about Jesus.

what we believe

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

  • We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

  • We believe that sin separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

  • We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the “new birth”, we must repent of our sins and place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ

  • We believe that in order to live the life that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.

  • We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and holy communion 

  • We believe that Jesus, the same yesterday today and forever still heals, performs miracles and is actively involved in the life of the believer.

  • We believe that our eternal destination of either eternal union with God or eternal separation from God is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

  • We believe marriage is a gift from God that is designed for one man and one woman. Sexuality should only be expressed in the context of that marriage covenant.
